Terms of Service
Last updated: July 11, 2026
Welcome to Study Vault, a product of Nurse in Progress (nurseinprogress.com) ("Study Vault", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Your Account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@nurseinprogress.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
- Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
- Parts of the Service are offered on paid subscription plans. Prices and included features are shown at checkout and may change with notice; changes apply at your next renewal.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (Stripe and PayPal). We do not store your card details on our servers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled beforehand. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; access continues through the end of the paid period.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@nurseinprogress.com within 14 days of the charge and we will review it in good faith.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or academic-integrity policy;
- Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service's content, question banks, or study materials;
- Attempt to probe, disable, overload, or circumvent the security of the Service, or access data that is not yours;
- Upload content that is infringing, unlawful, harassing, or malicious (including malware);
- Use automated means to access the Service except through interfaces we provide.
5. User-Generated Content
The Service lets you create and upload content such as notes, flashcard decks, and study materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it as needed to operate and improve the Service, including — if you choose to share it — displaying it to other users. You are responsible for your User Content and must have the rights necessary to post it. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality — including study guides, quizzes, software, design, and branding — are and will remain the exclusive property of Nurse in Progress and its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial study purposes.
7. AI Features — Not Medical Advice
The Service includes AI-powered features such as AI-generated study material, explanations, and practice feedback. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. All content on the Service — AI-generated or otherwise — is provided for exam preparation and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment, formal nursing education, or institutional protocols, and must never be used to make decisions about the care of real patients. Always verify information against your course materials and authoritative clinical references.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately; sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that using it will result in passing any exam, course, or licensure requirement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nurse in Progress and its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the Service before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [County, State], and you consent to their jurisdiction.
