Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Nurse in Progress(nurseinprogress.com) ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, applications, and services (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies and Authentication

We use cookies primarily to keep you signed in: our authentication provider sets secure session cookies so the Service knows who you are between page loads. We may also use strictly necessary cookies for security and preferences (such as theme). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our product-usage measurement does not use cookies either; it uses a random identifier stored only for the current browser tab, which is discarded when the tab closes.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with a small number of providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the Service:

Each provider is bound by its own privacy and security commitments, and we share only what is necessary for the feature to work. We do not use a third-party analytics provider. Product-usage events are stored in our own database (Supabase) and are not shared with anyone.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Billing records may be retained longer where required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes. Logs and technical data are retained for limited periods for security and debugging.

For an optional weekly progress email, we retain a minimal delivery log containing the week, delivery status, attempt count, provider reference, sent time, and failure class. This prevents duplicate sends and supports delivery investigations; the log does not contain the email body. Unsubscribe records keep a token hash rather than the unsubscribe token itself. Operational records and provider error logs are retained according to our configured provider and database retention policies.

Product-usage events are automatically deleted 180 days after they are recorded, and any event linked to an account is deleted with that account.

6. Your Rights and Deleting Your Data

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level access controls on our database, so your data is only accessible to you. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.

8. Children

The Service is intended for nursing students and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16; if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the Service. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
